Daily Life Skills

The Daily Living / Life Skills service is designed to help individuals with disabilities or illnesses develop and maintain the essential skills needed for everyday living. This includes tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and managing finances. If your disability or illness affects your ability to handle these tasks, we can support you in learning how to manage them more independently.

When you first begin using the NDIS, it’s important to share what type of support you need. We’ll work closely with you to understand your goals and figure out how we can help you achieve them. This may involve meeting with an NDIS planner, who will discuss your needs and create a plan to support you.

Next, we’ll determine how much support you require. This could range from a single appointment to ongoing assistance, either at home or within the community. It may also include other services, like transportation or assistive equipment (e.g., wheelchairs or hearing aids) to help with daily activities such as traveling or hearing in busy public spaces.

  • Assistance with Daily Tasks: Help with activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and making doctor’s appointments.

  • Personal Care Training: Support with personal care routines like bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.

  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Assistance with managing money and creating a budget.

  • Community Integration: Training to help you engage in social activities, such as going out for dinner or using public transportation.
